When you’re visiting, be sure to look around and take it all in. Our space was inspired by the entire process to take agave from the ground to your glass. The states of Oaxaca and Jalisco, Mexico have influenced our recipes and design at Coa. On the front left wall and bar ceiling, admire the hand crafted tiles made of the clay soil of Oaxaca. When ordering a cocktail, take a moment to enjoy the unique stone bar top made of cantera. Cantera is a common Mexican stone that is used to make a tahona for crushing the agave core after roasting. If you look up, our “chandeliers” above the community tables are replicas of vases used to store Mezcal underground during prohibition and in present day. We’ve also collected a few antiques from all over Mexico that are displayed above the bar. All of the art throughout Coa is by local artists from Oaxaca as well. Our owners designed the space piece by piece to create an unique dining experience full of culture and history. We can’t wait for you to join us!
