Comfort Keepers

The Comfort Keepers® story began in 1997 when Kris Clum, a registered nurse working in home health care, discovered first hand the need for someone to assist her patients with their non-medical needs. As a nurse, she was allowed only to tend to their medical, or skilled care, needs. Sometimes her patients would request something as simple as having a loaf of bread or quart of milk delivered--or to have someone spend just a few minutes in conversation to brighten their day. Today, that solution is known as Comfort Keepers. Comfort Keepers provides non-medical, in-home care services to thousands of people by way of more than 600 franchised offices. The Comfort Keepers franchise system is comprised of a network of caring individuals committed to providing comforting care solutions that enable seniors and others to live safely, happily and independently at home.
