Concrete Specialties began manufacturing precast concrete products in Clarendon Hills, Illinois in 1963. Our first owners, Dick Ekins and Tom Taylor, produced concrete blocks, cinder blocks, septic tanks and other building material composed of “cement, sand, stone or gravel.” Concrete Specialties Company is a leading producer of precast concrete products in the Chicago metropolitan area, southern Wisconsin and Northern Indiana. Four manufacturing plants provide reinforced concrete pipe, manholes, box culvert and a variety of special products primarily for the sewer and utility industries. Our reputation for quality and service earned over the past sixty years is second to none.
