JD & Varner Holmes started in the health club business in 1989 in a 3,600SF store-front location. Within several years, they expanded to 3 locations and bought the Gold's Gym license. They sold the clubs in 2003, and have now returned to the industry with a low-price model that is unequalled in South Atlanta area.
