Gault Cleaners

In 1922 brothers Floyd, Elsworth, and Clarence Gault opened Gault Cleaners in Ashland, Ohio. Through the years Clarence and Elsworth moved on to other careers, leaving Floyd to run the family business. In the mid 1950's Floyds son Larry joined the firm and eventually took over full ownership. In 1977 he moved the business to Mount Vernon, Ohio, adding a professional shirt laundry and a self serve laundromat to the business. In 1982 Larry's son Jim entered the family business, and with his wife Debbie took full ownership in 2003. Jim and Debbie are proud to carry on the 88 year tradition of excellence in garment care. Although much has changed since Floyd and his brothers began, some things have remained the same. The same careful attention to detail and quality of workmanship that built the family business in the early years drives us yet today. We strive to treat every garment as if it were our own, and never take for granted the trust that is placed in us by each customer.
