Hull Cooperative Association began in 1908 as a grain elevator when the local farmers realized they needed a place for grain merchandising. In 1947, a feed mill was added nearby to the original grain elevator, along with a fertilizer plant, warehouse, and annex. In September 1979, the elevator caught fire, destroying all the new additions.
