Journal Square Pub

Journal Square Pub is a local bar that has been serving the Journal Square neighborhood in Jersey City since the 1930s. Formerly the Tube Bar that was owned by heavyweight boxer Louis “Red” Deutsch, it was bought by Joe Barone in 1980. The new bar was moved across the street and renamed Journal Square Pub years later. It is still owned and operated by Joe Barone.
