As a graduate of Loyola University of Chicago as well as the Loyola Rome center, Marc discovered his passion for Italian Style and for travel. After a brief job teaching elementary school, he was fortunate to be chosen as one of the first male flight attendants for Western Airlines. World travel refined Marc”s understanding of people and cultures. In 1979, Marc began his career in hair design in Beverly Hills, California. There he attended the esteemed Charles Ross School of Hair Design followed by a advanced training at Vidal Sassoon academy in Santa Monica. After several years of apprenticeship at two highly regarded Beverly Hills salons, Marc moved south to La Jolla, California. There he spent time perfecting his craft at the fashionable Elysium Salon, beginning in 1985. ​ To be closer to his aging parents in Florida, Marc moved cross-country in 1992 where he opened Marc Edward Hair Design in Waynesville, North Carolina. He loved the small picturesque town nestled in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains, one of the most beautiful regions in the country. ​ Since 1990, Marc has been a platform artist and educator for framesi and a member of the framesi Italian cutting team. In 2003, Marc and his staff moved to the historic Grove Arcade in downtown Asheville, North Carolina, and became Marc Edward & Company Hair Design.
