Merkle's Commercial Photography

For more than 25 years John Merkle has been taking photos and making products, people and food look great for advertising, marketing, websites, catalogs, brochures, annual reports and magazines. John enjoys working with local advertising agencies and businesses in the Chicagoland, Illinois area providing photography with an wonderful visual aspect for their marketing campaign. His studio is in Addison, IL in Dupage county. My passion for taking photos has been with me since I was very young. After college and then working a few years for a photo studio in Chicago IL, I decided in 1984 to start my own commercial photography business. Lighting and composition are extremely important in getting a great photograph. Having the right equipment and the proper space to work in are key elements to making beautiful shots. We now work out of a comfortable 4300 square foot studio in Addison, IL with ample free parking. Close to the I-290 and I-355. The studio has a wireless internet with a full working kitchen, 14 foot ceilings, drive-in oversized door and a 55' interior loading dock. Over the years I've also photographed on locations from sterile hospital operating rooms and executive offices to dirty hot steel mills. I love meeting and working with wonderful people. While taking photos of children, I've often been told that I'm good with kids. I think that's because I'm still a kid at heart.
