In 1994 after an adventurous 14-year career in commercial fishing off the coast of Alaska Rob O'Niell had the desire to return to Albuquerque where he was born and raised. Having had restaurant experience when he was young, his journey brought him back to the bar and restaurant business. With the help of his brothers and a background in construction he created something that he felt would last for a good while, something durable. Eighteen years later, O'Niell's has become a staple of Albuquerque. In 2010 O'Niell's opened a second location in the NE heights.
