Steele Homes, a family-owned business, has constructed homes with these features and more for families in Florida and Alabama. S. S. Steele & Company was founded in Mobile, AL by Samuel S. Steele in 1953. In 1965, our company opened a branch in Pensacola. Samuel Steele started the business constructing economical, aluminum-siding homes averaging 1,100 square feet. We have evolved to more durable brick homes averaging 1,800 square feet featuring items such as fireplaces, garden tubs, cathedral ceilings and many other features in a large percentage of the homes. Our company has built over 7,000 homes since 1953 and spans three generations in the Steele family. We attribute the secret of our successful business to following trends and providing good dollar value for our homes.
