Strands Hair Studio specializes in hair care for all hair types. Strands prides itself in catering to a multi-cultural clientele, and providing exceptional service in a professional environment. In early 1992 Shirley Gordons inspiration reached a new level as she became an entrepreneur and opened her first salon, Strands Hair Studio, in Wheaton, MD. This was the beginning of a journey that birthed many exciting opportunities for Strands. As clientele expanded and business flourished, Shirleys desire to globally share her talent became more evident. She had the opportunity to do this when she became a Master Artist/Platform Stylist for Clairol. Shirleys 10 year journey with Clairol not only highlighted her presence in the hair industry, but also placed Strands in an multi-cultural market and increased her brand. On a daily basis, Shirley dedicates the majority of her time creating a range of designs for her clients. When she is not at Strands, she welcomes every opportunity to broaden her education, while training under some the top icons in the industry.
