Tamales Ancira

Established in 1989.In 1989 Tamales Ancira was founded by Roberto Ancira and his wife Teresa. They brought the family recipie to San Diego because they couldn't find good tamales in the area. They opened a USDA inspected facility to make the tamales and sell them wholesale to restaurants,hotels, and markets. At the same time, Roberto thought of having a retail counter in front of the kitchen to offer tamales hot and fresh everyday to walk in customers and the rest is history.
