The Hangar Bar

In 1930, a group of Santa Paula ranchers and businessmen joined together to finance the purchase of land to build an airport. It had a very modest beginning, with only 7 personal hangars and one for a flight school. The airport was built on the premise of making flying affordable to all.After WWII the Santa Paula Airport came into its own. In the late 1950’s, pilots began discovering the airport, building hangars, restoring old airplanes and flying. It is an airport that became famous for its love of vintage aircraft and affordable flight lessons.
