Carol Faber Adams made Tribeca her home twelve years ago, when the storefront scene consisted of delis and dry cleaners with nary a boutique in sight. In 2004, as Tribeca was bursting at its seams with new families, she opened Babylicious “ clothing, toys and books for the under-7 set. Six years later, Babylicious has grown into its current incarnation: Torly Kid“Tot to tween. Named after her two daughters, Tori and Carly, who are growing up quickly, Carol keeps the aesthetic decidedly hip but always practical. The store is bright and fun, thanks to Carol's musician husband “ who stocks her iPod playlist “ and a 13-foot tall giraffe print play tent/changing room, where a toddler can mill around while Mom shops, or a tween and her friends can experiment with the latest fashions
