Ms. Palinski is the owner of Turning Point Counseling in Bourbonnais and has been a therapist serving the Kankakee County area for over 20 years. The office is located in Bourbonnais, Illinois. With over 18 years of experience as a therapist working with a broad spectrum of clients, she has spent the last 16 years specializing in Reactive Attachment Disorder and trauma. She was a CWSII in field of intake families, foster care and adoptions for over 25 years. In addition to being a specialist as a Reactive Attachment Therapist, and a guest speaker for many organizations, and presented in November 2011 at the Illinois Counseling Association Annual Conference in Skokie and presenter at the Illinois Mental Health Counseling Association in 2014. Ms. Palinski does national trainings several times a year to educate professionals on Reactive Attachment Disorder, Trauma, Childhood Disorders and Parenting, step-parenting and alternative parenting, and burned out parenting. Ms. Palinski has taught at Kankakee Community College since 2002 in area of psychology, sociology, social work, lifespan development and adnormal psychology. She is a trainer for the State of Illinois foster PRIDE program and other programs offered by the state including Adopt Conversion classes, Educational Advocacy, Trauma and Attachment. Ms. Palinski has developed training manuals on Attachment and Reactive Attachment Children and on Childhood Disorders.
