When the doors opened in 1992, it was clear to see that Wildcat Lounge was something the downtown had never seen before. With it red walls and matching lighting, the swanky vibe of the Lounge attracted patrons of all ages. Around the turn of the century, Wildcat introduced "Red Room" on Sunday nights and instantly became Santa Barbara's premier Gay Night, finishing off the week with style and spice. As the 2000's progressed, Wildcat focused on the night scene with dance perfection being an emphasis. With professional dancers every night of the weekend, state of the art sound and lights, and top Dj's from the Southern California and Las Vegas areas on the decks, Wildcat lounge quickly become the best spot to move to the music. The Independent Magazine has since named Wildcat Lounge the best dance spot in Santa Barbara every year since 2006 and the parties go on every night, with a vibrant Happy Hour each day of the week and themed night to keep each night fresh and full of energy.
