Ever wonder about the history and story behind Yum Thai? I'm sure you've asked yourself "Is this a chain? Franchise? Or how did they come about and when?" Stay tuned for our story, but just to answer a few basic questions about us for the time being we'd love to answer commonly asked questions: "Are you guys a chain?" Actually no, we are not a chain. We are privately owned and operated. Although the name Yum Thai is used throughout the U.S. we are the only Yum Thai in Indiana! We are not associated/partnered with anyone else. We are LOCAL! Our owners went to school right here in Fort Wayne! "Is the food authentic" Yes! Our food is authentic. Thai food is cooked differently throughout Thailand as is food is in the United States. So although we may not follow the pattern of other Thai restaurants we cook Central Thailand style cuisine. We are also owned and operated by A Thai Family but our cooks and servers are not exclusively from Thai decent!
