B-Dry® Basement Waterproofing

The B-Dry® System is installed in a trench under the perimeter of the basement floor so that it picks up water about 8-12″ below the present floor surface. The trench is rough cut to enable the new cement to bond best to the existing floor. Before the system is re-cemented, a rigid vinyl barrier is attached to the base of the foundation wall to divert wall leakage down into the floor drain system. This is done when there is a poured concrete foundation. When the foundation is fieldstone, we install a flexible barrier that follows the contour of the stones directing any wall leakage into the system. Should you have finished walls (paneling or wallboard) we cannot access the foundation in order to install the rigid sealer, therefore an open stone moat is left behind your wall. The new cement over the B-Dry® System will dry to a light gray color.
