Baba’s Pierogies

Established in 2015. Julia aka baba (grandma) immigrated to the United States from Slovakia (former Czechoslovakia) in the 60's and with her brought family recipes that were handed down through numerous generations.  Since her arrival to this country, Baba has been cooking every week uniting family and friends through her pierogies.  When Helena took interest in not just eating these delicious morsels but also in learning how to make them, Baba spent time teaching both her and Bob how to mix, knead, roll out and pack the dough with delicious filling. Helena and Bob started inventing fun twists on the classic pierogi, like mac-n-cheese, bacon-cheddar-potato and spinach and feta fillings. They received stellar reviews from everyone who tasted them so they continued to play with fillings options. What started as a past time became a full time gig as she and Bob decided to open a small, casual shop offering delicious food they made.
