2 years ago I read an article about the 9 most difficult restaurants to get into in the U.S.. I lived in downtown Chicago for 20 years, so I know restaurants with ridiculous lead-times for a reservation. One of the top restaurants on that list was a BBQ place in Austin, Texas called Franklin Barbecue. I looked them up, flew down there (almost on the next plane), got there at 6am on a Saturday morning, waited in line for 4 hours and had the most decadent brisket ever. I talked to the owner (super nice guy), and decided Wisconsin deserved something this special and I was the one to bring it to them.
