Residential Landscape design and Installation. We Design and Build your Outdoors. Jim Bertrand was the in house landscaper and laborer at the tender age of 10 for his grandma's company Kirsch Builders Supply in Frankfort IL. He earned $1 per hour, 3 hours a day, 3 days a week in the summers. I got to busy with landscaping side work, so I had to give my 2 weeks notice to leave that position. At that point in 1989 Bertrand Landscape was established. I worked full time every summer and during school breaks. In 1991 I had my first employee from high school, In 1995 I had my first project manager while I was in college, In 1999 I had my first landscape designer and year around full time foreman whom still works with me to this day!
