He started his career in the automotive repair industry as an apprentice to a small shop owner in Hermosa Beach, CA. He had spent many years tinkering with his own cars at home, and along with auto shop classes in school, he had a basic understanding of cars, and knew that this was the right career path for him. He spent the next several years training as a mechanic, and was taught the craft of welding and fabrication. He became a full-time technician in no time, and eventaully became a salesman, assistant manager, and eventually a manager.
