Mongolian BBQ originated in Taiwan in the 1950s, borrowing concepts from Japanese Teppanyaki and Chinese stir fry. The concept was very popular with tourists during the 1960s and 1970’s, then made it's debut in America around the 1970s. Even though the food isn't Mongolian it is a delicious way to allow the individual to create a mouth watering stir-fry dish.
