Cafe Escadrille

Cafe Escadrille first opened its doors under the continued ownership of Robert W. Murray. In 2003, Mr. Murray expanded the restaurant to include a multi-room private dining facility reminiscent of a grand country estate. His restaurant and function venue continue to be the premiere choice in the Burlington and greater Boston area. Cafe Escadrille's name and spirit were inspired by the Lafayette Escadrille - a squadron of the French Air Service formed in April of 1916. The squadron was composed of spirited and daring American fighter pilots who fought gallantly by day and relished fine food and drink at night. Some "Escadrille" trivia: our phone number is 781-273-1916 (in reference to the Lafayette Escadrille); there are fighter planes etched into the frosted glass behind our Famous Mahogany Bar; and movies about the squadron include 1958's "Lafayette Escadrille" staring a young Clint Eastwood and 2006's "Flyboys" starring James Franco.
