Carlson Gracie Jiu-Jitsu

Christian has a 3rd Degree Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and is fluent in Portuguese, Swedish, English & Spanish. He opened the first Carlson Gracie Academy on the Valley Isle of Maui in Lahaina, Hawaii in 2008. Christian was personally trained and promoted to black belt by Carlson Gracie Sr. of the Carlson Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He trained and competed under Carlson Gracie Sr. For 14 years, and then continued his training with Carlson Gracie Jr. when the great Master, Carlson Gracie Sr, passed on. Many of the best Jiu-Jitsu fighters are athletes who have been trained under the personal tutelage of Carlson Gracie Sr. or by one of his students. Among some of Christian's teammates are well known UFC and BJJ fighters; Vitor Belfort, Murilo Bustamante, Ricardo Liborio, and Rodrigo Minotauro Nogureira.
