Unlike family and friends from out of town who are just hoping to get some squishy baby snuggles when they come to visit, a postpartum doula walks in with expertise and a job to do... make you, a new mother, feel at ease. This may be anything from a light tidy around the house, replenishing your tea or water while you share a new victory, to helping you put baby on your breast or swaddling baby.
