In 2011, Owner Dan Swormstedt was visiting his father in Washington, D.C. when he stumbled upon a lobster shack. The line was out the door and around the corner for the staple sandwich of Maine. At that moment, a dream was born! A little over 6 years later, after research trips to Maine, visiting with lobstermen, stopping into every lobster shack up and down the east coast he possibly could, and a little elbow grease, the dream came to fruition. That dream is Court Street Lobster Bar.Our goal is to provide our customers with high quality sustainably fished seafood, top notch locally grown produce, and first-class libations at an accessible price.
