By 1967, Delta Sonic expanded and millions of car owners flocked to try the country s first soft-cloth car wash chain. Because many car owners did not like Delta s spinning cloth brushes, the company hired chemists and engineers to develop special, pH-balanced soap formulas and mild lotions. The company later built its own soap and manufacturing plants so that it had the right ingredients and equipment. Delta Sonic Car Wash Systems has one of its locations in Crestwood, Ill.
