R. A. Dill & Sons is a family-owned-and-operated plumbing contractor that's been serving the area since 1950. The business was first established when Rudy Dill and his wife, Marie, relocated their family and moved his business from Brooklyn to Summit. He grew his plumbing business to become the number-one local plumber for the area. To this day, many customers still fondly remember calling the office with a plumbing problem and talking to Marie, who used to answer the office phone. Marie loved talking with the customers and considered each and every one of them a friend. She was even famous for offering her own bit of plumbing advice. If she couldn't solve the problem with the customer then she would send over "one of the boys"Rudy, son's Al or Joe, or one of her grandsons. Every customer was, and still is, treated with the highest priority. The family business has continued to grow and flourish in the Summit, New Providence, Berkeley Heights, and Chatham area. It's now into the fourth generation of Rudy Dill's family.
