Easton Sod Farms

Easton Sod Farms, Inc. is headquartered in Bixby, Oklahoma. Easton Sod has 4 commercial stores and over 1,500 acres of farmland. Easton Sod Farms was founded nearly 40 years ago, in 1972. Easton Sod was first started by John Easton's father, Junior Easton. Easton Sod Farms first commercial job was @ the Tulsa International Airport. The sod for the project was first harvested out of a cow pasture. Junior was a previous Alfalfa farmer, and slowly made the transition to sod farming. Easton Sod then started harvesting several varieties of grass such as Zoysia grass, Buffalo grass, Bermuda grass, and Patriot grass. Easton Sod works hand in hand with the Oklahoma State Turfgrass program. The turf scientists at OSU have created several certified turfgrasses that Easton Sod Farms harvests today. The varieties include Patriot, Northbridge and Latitude 36 Bermuda grass.
