Since 1996, The Flagler Institute for Rehabilitation has been entrusted by thousands of patients and hundreds of doctors to deliver unequalled physical therapy. Owned and Operated by Kevin R. Kunkel PhD., MSPT, MLD-CDT, the clinic has expanded to treating all conditions including but not limited to Pain Reduction, Joint Replacements, Cancer Rehabilitation and Lymphedema Treatment, Balance and Fall Prevention, Spinal Cord Injury, Neurologic Disorders including Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis and Neuropathy, and Pre and Post Operative Care. The Physical Therapists and Assistants have gained high levels of education and certification within the areas of Lymphedema, Yoga, and Pilates which enhances our care deliver for patients with many different diagnoses. Many spine surgeons will often send their patients prior to surgery in order to avoid it if at all possible and they specifically send then to Flagler because of the Yoga and Pilates treatment perspective. The clinic has direct affiliations with the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and Nova Southeastern University Departments of Physical Therapy. Dr. Kunkel is an Adjunct Professor at Miami and an Assistant Professor at NOVA while also seeing patients at Flagler.
