Flowerama of America began its successful floral retail journey in 1967 and currently has nearly 70 locations in 25 states. In August 2011, the owners of Flowerama retired and the company along with its staff and corporate team joined the 1-800-Flowers Family. While several of the Flowerama franchised locations maintain their original Flowerama identity; eight locations in Iowa have co-branded to become 1-800-Flowers | Flowerama. This co-branding allows the stores an opportunity to provide a larger selection of 1-800-Flowers signature designs, unique gourmet gift and spa baskets, gourmet chocolates, Yankee candles, a new plush animal line while still keeping some of the customer's classic Flowerama favorites.
