About My Services Since graduating from the Center for Massage and Natural Health in Asheville, NC in 2005, I have pursued numerous continuing education courses in massage in order to further refine my practice. However, my real teachers are my clients, who always bring a unique experience to my table. I offer nurturing, therapeutic massage that relaxes and rejuvenates both mind and body. By integrating deep and focused pressure with long, soothing massage strokes, I address specific areas of pain and tension and provide overall relaxation. I combine techniques from various modalities, including classical Swedish massage, deep tissue work, trigger point/neuromuscular therapy, passive stretching techniques and hot stone massage. I also use my bare feet to glide over the body while supporting myself from bars attached to the ceiling. This provides a luxuriously deep and broad massage stroke that helps to decompress the spine, and I am a certified barefoot Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy ® practitioner. In each session I will communicate clearly and encourage feedback from you to reach the deepest understanding possible of your needs. In particular, I try to work at a level of pressure that feels therapeutic to each client. I look forward to acting as a partner in your quest for improved health.
