We are a non-profit Alzheimer's Day Care Center. We have been helping provide Alzheimer's care and dementia care ever since our doors first opened in 1982. In fact, thirty four years and thousands of families later, we are still the only non-profit, dementia-specific adult day care program in San Diego County. The George G. Glenner Alzheimer's Family Centers, Inc. provide a much needed solution for thousands of families struggling to provide quality Alzheimer's care to their loved one under tough circumstances. Every day, we provide safe, compassionate, expert dementia day care at our facility. Some people consider us a senior center with a special purpose and expertise. We monitor the health and well-being of our participants, check vital signs, monitor changes in behavior and manage medications in addition to therapeutic dementia-specific activities and socialization. With several local caregiver support groups, we are also able to help many family members struggling with the rigors of care-giving. Our program is a relatively cost-effective care option that will help keep your loved one living at home longer while receiving expert dementia care during the day time hours.
