Guerne Heights Drive In

Opened in 1956 by Richard & Jane Cutter as a seasonal Ice Cream & Sandwich Stand with a small indoor dining area as well as two service windows. The Cutters continued seasonal operations until 1993. In 1995, Randy & Beverly Wengerd purchased the business, keeping the original menu intact. Breakfast was added in the fall of 1995 and Guerne Heights remained open all year long. Our Coney Dog recipe has never changed, making it a customer favorite for many years. In 1997 we switched to 10% Milkfat Ice Cream Mix from Dairymen's and business boomed. We continue to serve many of the same menu items that were found on the menu 50 years ago. The past two years found us in the Top-10 on Fox8's Akron-Canton HotList for Best Breakfast.
