Galina is an Asheville, NC-based hair stylist with more than 14 years of experience. Her love affair with hair began in high school as she served as all of her friends’ hairdresser; she ultimately decided to take it to the next level by earning her cosmetology license in North Carolina, with training by Aveda at Carmen! Carmen! Galina dedicates herself to continued education so that she can deliver the very best styles for her clients by regularly attending national trade and fashion shows for the beauty world. Much of Galina's education is in wedding and special occasion styling. Whether you want low fuss romantic waves, a classic updo, or a retro chignon, she is your full service beauty expert. She is available for local as well as destination weddings. Galina's clients agree that she is a hair wizard. She caters to their hair needs and makes their vision a reality. She strives to help people feel that the style they have is natural to them and already “lived in,” with lots of movement. A specialty of Galina’s is cutting and styling thick hair, and she is especially skilled with precision hair cuts – but she works easily with all hair types. As a color specialist, she provides all types of color treatments, including corrective coloring, balayage, ombre, and highlights, sunlights and microlights. You can find Phyto and Aquage products in Galina’s studio. Galina likes using Phyto as it is organic hair care from France, it smells divine, doesn’t build up, improves hair health, and is very refined. Aquage is great for styling, especially when doing special hair and updos – it is anti-humidity. She uses Joico and Paul Mitchell for coloring.
