Hawaiian Rehabilitation Services, Inc. is locally owned and operated. Jean Thompson, Physical Therapist, assumed ownership of HRS in 1980 and at one time HRS operated 4 clinics in North and West Hawaii. Today HRS focuses on providing services to the Kona area, choosing to expand services that include wellness and post injury rehabilitation. Our mission statement is "Through teamwork and professional growth, the mission of Hawaiian Rehabilitation Services, Inc is to be a catalyst and leader in providing comprehensive and holistic rehabilitation services.Our services promote injury prevention, quality of life, physical independence, community education, and positive attitudes toward wellness." Hawaiian Rehabilitation Services was voted as a finalist in "Best of West Hawaii" by readers of our local paper.
