Helpline Youth Counseling

HYC is one of the largest youth services providers in Southeast Los Angeles County. We are proud to announce that in the last year, our agency provided comprehensive educational, case management, counseling, skill-building and treatment services to 12,605 children, youth and adults throughout Greater Los Angeles and surrounding counties with a targeted focus on the Southeast Los Angeles communities of Artesia, Bellflower, Cerritos, Downey, Hawaiian Gardens, Lakewood, La Mirada, Long Beach, Norwalk, Paramount, Pico Rivera, Santa Fe Springs, Signal Hill and Whittier, including Unincorporated portions of Whittier. Much of this work was provided to students at 77 schools in 18 school districts throughout the region. Of this total, 7,182 people were provided with assistance and support by trained listeners at our Community Helpline Warmline for adults and teens in crisis.
