Hopper Septic & Excavating is family owned and operated by Jeff Hopper. We are probably the oldest established and most respected septic and excavating contractor in Boone County. In 1952, Jeff's dad, W. Earl Hopper, began doing backhoe work. He quickly expanded to sewer repair and installation. He also began to manufacture septic tanks after purchasing tank companies in Whitesville, Crawfordsville and Lebanon during the 1960s and early 1970s. The production of septic tanks by Hopper Septic & Excavating continued until mid-1980, at which point it became more cost efficient to purchase tanks from Indianapolis and focus our attention on our other services.
