Founder, and first generation Hudson, Buford started working in barbecue when he was in the 8th grade. At that young age, he commuted to Atlanta to work at the Old Hickory Barbecue, owned by brothers Winton and Willy Wallace, who taught him how to serve customers and cook pork shoulders. When the restaurant closed, Buford went on to find work else where. Years later, he decided to return to what he loves most and knows best – barbecue.
