An American Restaurant in Dillsboro NC

The Jarrett House Inn and Restaurant will has reopened for the 2014 season with a new partner, new look, and plans for a complete renovation in the near future.Jim and Jean Hartbarger, owners since 1975, announced that Constantine Roumel, owner of the nearby Nantahala Village and Resort and several other 4 and 5 star hotel and resorts, has joined the Jarrett House team as primary owner. The Hartbargers will continue to be involved in the daily business operations and as part owners and primary managers."This could not be a better result," said Dillsboro Mayor Mike Fitzgerald. "The Jarrett House has been long an anchor for this town. It is wonderful that the Hartbargers will continue to be the face of the business and that Roumel's investment and expertise will allow them to take the Jarrett House to a new level." While the tradition of good food, beautiful accommodations, and Southern hospitality will continue, several changes are already in the works, according to Jean Hartbarger. The interior spaces of the restaurant are receiving a face-lift and the parlor is being transformed into an English Tea Room. The front porches have been fitted with rocking chairs to allow our guests a relaxing place to hang out and enjoy the view. While traditional favorites, such as chicken and dumplings and trout will still be served, a Bistro is being added with new menu items. The Bistro will be a separate entity within the inn with contemporary indoor/outdoor dining space featuring a lighter menu with pastas, salads, pastries, espresso and full service bar.
