Jill's Place

Jill's Place - the restaurant - stands in the original location of family-owned Shalhoob Meat Company, started by Jerry Shalhoob in 1973, servicing wholesale meats to local restaurants and other institutions. After a 2013 fire, Jill's Place has been updated with a new look and a brand new kitchen. Jill - "The Butcher's Daughter" - proudly continues to serve hungry customers in the upgraded space. Her father's original small retail shop had expanded to a wholesale meat company, relocating to a larger building at 220 Grey Avenue, where still another generation of Shalhoobs - John Shalhoob Jr., his daughter and son, Leeandra and Lil John (LJ) - keep up the wholesale. Jill's Place, renewed and fresh, serves the rest of us. The kitchen's already warming up. A rare combo: the finest meats, cooked for you, perfectly in one place.
