Julia Barbee Studio

This signature fragrance line was founded in 2010, as a performance art project. I see these perfumes treading the line between product and art. The bodies wearing these fragrances are new sites-- the project grows with each new person carrying the olfactory work into their personal contexts. Many of these perfumes started out as performance pieces, some were parts of installations, others were created for exhibition purposes.
