Kate Becker

Early in my professional career, I worked in New York City as an advertising executive and marketing research professional. I loved the work, but something was missing: a need to make a difference in people's lives. I went graduate school where I got a master's degree in Social Work at the University of Connecticut, and graduated with a 4.3. I'm kind of a perfectionist... but high grades don't necessarily make a great clinical therapist. Good therapy skills are needed, and that's why I have attended numerous post-graduate courses including EMDR Therapy; Sensorimotor Psychotherapy; a year long training in dissociation; many addiction trainings, as well as being a registered yoga teacher.
