Being an artist was a path I was likely predestined for as a daughter of generations of entrepreneurs and photographers before me. I’m a second-generation Milwaukee photographer; my father was a freelance photojournalist. He always seemed to have jobs stacked up and taught me the benefit of a being a chameleon with evolving times, a skill that served me well years later when the digital era entered the photography sphere. I believe working in tandem with my clients is one of the most important parts of my job. Scripting the shoot, working on the logistics and expanding ideas is something I enjoy, but it also provides value for my clients. The people I work with are seeking not only a creative eye but someone who understands the process, timeframes and budgetary concerns of photo projects.
