We train for strength because getting strong improves every aspect of physical performance. And Starting Strength is the fastest way to get strong. Training is goal oriented. It's the process of organizing exercises into a system to make progress incrementally, on a predictable schedule. It's the opposite of random and that's why it produces results. The program is simple. The execution of it is precise. Lift weights 3x a week, increase the weight on the bar each time. The program must be applied specifically to each individual. Programs vary based on age, sex, fitness level, and health status. Executing the lifts with perfect technique is critical to making continued progress. Every training session and every member is supervised by a Starting Strength Coach!
