Main Street Martial Arts

Established in 2000. Main Street Martial Arts began in Downtown Providence as Rhode Island Aikikai - Downtown (RIAD) in August of 2000. We rented space from the late Master Charles Earle, III Sensei of Uechi-Ryu Karate on Weybosset Street. RIAD grew steadily for six years in this location to 55 members. In 2006, a space was available on North Main Street in Providence. The new space is perfect for individuals and families and our main entrance and free parking lot is in the back of the building behind Reliable Auto Service at the corner of North Main/White/10th Streets. Originally the studio began as Aikido - Eastside and has evolved into Main Street Martial Arts with many martial arts styles available and now with a membership of over 120 families. Please stop in to see our traditional Japanese Dojo and unique climate and spirit. The Main Entrance is in the back of the building. Welcome!
