Maxwell's On The River

The Merrill Hotel, Muscatine, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel, debuted in March of 2018 and named after life-long resident and business leader, Stanley Merrill Howe. Howe helped build HON Industries, a locally-based, global leader in the manufacturing of office furniture and hearth products. Maxwell's restaurant located within The Merrill Hotel was named after Maxwell Stanley, the Boy Scout leader of Stanley Howe.
