Meany Inc

Meany was founded by Jack S. Dominy in 1955. After serving in the U.S. Navy during World War 2, J.S.D. settled down in Chicago and joined the IBEW local 134. Through sound business principles and a hard work ethic, J.S.D. provided a solid foundation on which the company could grow and prosper. J.S.D.’s oldest son Mike Dominy joined the company in 1967 and Meany became a “family business”. After holding several different positions at Meany, Mike was President for nearly 30 years before moving on in 2007 at the age of 62. Mike worked diligently to solidify Meany’s reputation as one of Chicagoland’s most trustworthy and quality electrical contractors
